How to Troubleshoot Windows 7 Black Screen
Some
of you may experience this kind of issue in windows 7. Unable to see
desktop, all icons will be disappeared only black screen will be
visible , but able to move the cursor.
This issue can be troubleshooted in temporarily.
Step 1: Press Ctr+Alt+Del open task manager
Step2: Go to process tab and search for explorer.exe
Step 3: Right click on explorer.exe and click End Process tree.
Step 4: Go to file select new task and type explorer.exe then click ok.
Note: If u find two or three explorer.exe do the same for the rest.
For Permanent Solution
Step 1: Press Ctr+Alt+Del open task manager
Step 2: Go to file select new task and type regedit then click ok.
Step
3: Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE then select SOFTWARE then MICROSOFT then
select WINDOWS NT and then CURRENT VERSION then select WINLOGON
Step 4: Then double click the Shell under right side panel and change the value data to explorer.exe
